A CLOSER LOOK
In the glass.
At the table.
An imagined wine story, created for our fictional catalog.
Porchlight Press 2024 is our fictional expression of Rosé from Paso Robles. Its tasting profile starts with watermelon, orange peel, crisp finish. The imagined producer, Porchlight Press Cellars, works toward a wine that feels at home with food: expressive on the first pour, then more detailed as it settles into the glass. This bottle gives the collection a distinct starting point without asking you to commit your whole case to one style.
A bright, dry palate keeps the fruit light on its feet. The opening is generous without becoming sweet, and a citrus accent carries the finish. This fictional rosé is conceived as a table wine with enough texture for food and enough freshness to remain versatile across several dishes.
The imagined production begins with a short period of skin contact, followed by gentle pressing and a cool fermentation in stainless steel. A brief rest on fine lees softens the edges. Oak is left out of the picture to preserve the clean fruit profile and pale color.
Serve chilled alongside a tomato tart, grilled vegetables or a bowl of chickpeas with herbs. Let a little warmth return to the glass before judging the aromas. The dry finish makes this a flexible choice for a shared table where bright dressings and savory dishes appear together.
